Muddy Paw Sled Dog kennel is a kennel comprised of 86 dogs, ranging from racing Alaskan Huskies, to Siberians and Malamutes. The kennel focuses of rescuing Alaskan huskies in need of a home, giving them a "job for life". Their favorite thing to do is share the passion and adventure of dogsledding from the musher's perspective. Tours aren't just sitting in the sled and going for a ride, but involve interacting with dogs, and learning aspects of a culture that many people don't get to experience. The kennel is located in the heart of the White Mountains, minutes from Santa's Village and about 45 minutes from North Conway.
You can choose between the following options:
OPTION 1 - The Presidential Range Ride (7 to 12 miles), 1.5 hour trip Includes hands-on interaction with the dogs, involvement in harnessing and hook-up, learning commands, stories about the kennel and dogs... or just going for a great dog sled ride. Incredible views of the White Mountains and beautiful trails
OPTION 2 - The Pond of Safety (15-22 miles ), 3 hour trip Includes all the hands-on interaction as above, just 5 minutes up the road in the White Mountains National Forest, with breathtaking views, authentic trails, higher elevation and a remote backwoods feel.
